Hubballi: Suburban police felicitated an autorickshaw driver on Monday for returning a bag containing gold ornaments worth Rs 50,000 which he had found in his auto on May 24.
Shobha Kolli a resident of Aroodha Nagar, had hired the auto of Hazarathali Pathan, a resident of Nekar Nagar, from Corporation to reach Aaroodha Nagar. While alighting, she had left her bag in the vehicle only.

Pathan later noticed that the passenger had left the bag and he drove back to that area and searched for the woman. As he was unable to find her, he went to Suburban police station and handed over the bag to police.
Later inspector Jackson D’Souza and his team swung into action to trace the woman. They found Shobha on Monday and handed over the bag to her at the station in presence of her family members and the auto driver. Later inspector D’Souza felicitated the driver and hailed his honesty.
