Karnataka Congress leader blames Rahul Gandhi for LS poll debacle

BENGALURU: A veteran leader and former minister R Ramalinga Reddy has embarrassed the Congress by questioning its leadership after the Lok Sabha polls debacle.
In an early morning tweet followed by a letter to party high command, Reddy has lashed out at Rahul Gandhi, holding him responsible for the massive debacle in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
In an open letter, he said, "There has been no coordination between the senior leaders in the state and party leadership at centre, which led to the huge defeat of the party in the state."

He also blamed senior ministers in JDS-Congress government for the defeat alleging that they have no organizational vision and passion to take the party forward.
"The party suffered a poor defeat in the Lok Sabha elections because Congress ignored senior leaders in the party. Due to the lack of the elderly presence in the state government, the juniors had no strategy to fight an election," he added.
