Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has promised that he would ensure the welfare and development of all sections in society, which would remind everyone of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s regime.
Mr.Jagan Mohan Reddy took part in the Iftar celebrations held at the Police Parade grounds in the presence of religious leaders and leaders of the party.
This was the first official programme of the CM after he was sworn in on May 30.
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy began his speech by thanking the people of the State for giving a massive mandate to his party.
Special month
“The holy month of Ramadan is special to me. The election results were declared during this month and I was sworn in as CM in the same month. God has been great. The TDP which has poached 23 of our MLAs and three MPs have been left with just the number after this election,” said Mr. Jagan.
He also said that the party had given seats to five Muslim candidates out of which four had won the Assembly elections, and Iqbal, who could not win, would be made an MLC.
MPs-elect of the party Lavu Krishnadevarayulu and V. Balashourie, the party candidates who won the Assembly polls, Collector Kona Sasidhar, DGP Gautam Sawang and other officers were present.
