Jaganmohan Reddy's Iftar triggers controversy

AMARAVATI: The Iftar party organised by Jaganmohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh government snowballed into a major controversy after it was revealed that the cost of the event was Rs 1.8 crore.
TDP supporters slammed the state government on social media platforms for spending this much amount on Iftar. "Jagan govt spent Rs 29 lakhs for the lunch of 15 thousand people who attended his swearing-in ceremony. But now why this Iftar party costs crores of money?" read one post.

Supporters of Jagan strongly reacted to this on social media by saying that during TDP's rule, Rs 18 lakh was spent in three years on dry fruits for 4 Andhra officers, how can they criticise Jagan for the Iftar party expense?
YSRCP General secretory Vijaya Sai Reddy also reacted strongly to the comments.
