PANCHKULA: Two boys aged around 9 and 12 have been missing since May 28, prompting the police to register a kidnapping case on Monday.
Rajeev, a resident of Madras Colony, Sector 21, and a daily wage labourer, said his children Nitin, a Class III student, and Laxman Kumar, had been living with their grandparents in the colony after he and his wife Sheela had separated. The two had got married in 2007. He said both kids went to their school in Sector 21 on May 28 but did not return home. Rajeev said the two did not even go to his wife’s house in Indira Colony.

Later, he lodged a complaint, alleging some unknown person had kidnapped his children. Police registered a case under Sections 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person) of the IPC at the Sector 5 police station.
A 14-year-old girl has gone missing from her home, with her family members alleging that a boy she met on Facebook had kidnapped her. Krishan Lal, a resident of Kharak Mangoli, alleged his daughter Himanshi had been interacting with a youth named Veer Duggal on the social networking site. On his complaint, police registered a case under Section 363 (Punishment for kidnapping) and 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage) of the IPC.
