Hooch trade kingpin held after encounter in Barabanki

LUCKNOW: Finally waking up after 23 hooch deaths, Barabanki police arrested spurious liquor trade kingpin Sunil Jaiswal, who was on the run since last six years, after an encounter in Fatehpur, Barabanki, on early Monday.

Jaiswal, a native of Sitapur, was carrying a reward of Rs 25,000. His aides Pappu Jaiswal, Shivam, Danvir Singh and Pitambar had been arrested on May 29, a day after the tragedy.
Police claimed that Sunil was the kingpin of spurious liquor trade in Barabanki and Sitapur. Barabanki SP, Ajay Sahni, said that police got a tip-off about Jaiswal's movement at around 2.30am in Fatehpur and instantly set up a team to arrest him.
