NEW DELHI:
Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Shekhawat praised the role of
social organisations in the overall development of society. He spoke about the contribution of the Kshatriya Sangh of Rajasthan in the development of his own personality during his formative years. Shekhawat lauded the role of his community saying charity, courage and living with self-respect is a way of life for Kshatriyas.
Shekhawat added that many people are under the impression that the
Rajput society in general was very rich in the pre-independence era and the situation worsened after independence. But he believes the country’s freedom was what gave each of us the right to live like a Kshatriya.
Shekhawat was the chief guest for the fourth annual festival of
Akhand Rajputana Seva Sangh held on June 2 at Pyare Lal Bhawan on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg in Delhi. National President RP Singh, Senior Advocate Satya Prakash Singh, Supreme Court Senior Advocate, Rishpal Singh, Colonel Dr. JP Singh (Retd), and KV N Singh (IAS Retd) were present at the occasion.
