Vandal with moustache and beret sought after train graffiti damage

A moustached vandal wearing a white overcoat and blue beret is being sought by police after causing $7500 of graffiti damage to a train.

Investigators have released clear images of two men they wish to speak to following the act of vandalism which occurred late last year.

The train had been stopped temporarily for an hour from about 4pm between Mordialloc and Aspendale stations on September 11 last year when two men hopped a fence next to the train line.

They then used spray paint to graffiti the train, causing "extensive damage", before fleeing on foot.
