Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF), Wayanad District Committee is organising a massive reception on June 8 to greet All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi who is coming here on his maiden visit after electing as an MP in the recently held Lok Sabha Election.
The Congress Chief is making it to Wayanad on Saturday to thank the voters who voted him with a all-time record margin close to four lakh votes.
A meeting of the Wayanad District Committee of the UDF on Tuesday, decided to organise reception meetings at Pulpally, Sulthan Bathery, Kalpetta, Kambalakad, Panamaram and Mananthavady.
UDF leaders P K Jayalakshmi, N K Rasheed, K K Abraham K C Rosakutty were among those who atteted the meeting presided over by the District UDF President N D Appachan.
