A 43-year-old pedestrian died after being run over by a Mercedes outside Mahalaxmi Race Course on Monday night. According to the Tardeo police, the deceased, Rajendraprasad Ram, was walking on the side of the road when he was hit by the Mercedes.

“While we’re still putting together eye witness accounts, initial reports indicate that a taxi lost control, causing the Mercedes and another vehicle behind it to swerve to the side of the road. Ram was run over in the process,” a police officer said.
