GE Power jumps 5% on Rs 738 crore order win

The company bagged a contract worth Rs 738 crore from Aravali Power Company Private Limited.

NEW DELHI: Shares of GE Power India jumped over 5 per cent to Rs 930.40 in Tuesday's session, a day after it bagged a contract worth Rs 738 crore from Aravali Power Company Private Limited.

Aravali Power Company is a joint venture company of NTPC, Haryana Power Generation Company and Indraprastha Power Generation Company.

GE Power in a BSE filing said that the contract is for design, engineering, civil work, supply, erection and commissioning of wet FGD (Flue Gas Desulphurisation) systems along with auxiliaries like limestone and gypsum handling system and wet stack on full turnkey basis.

Around 9:55 am, shares of GE Power India traded 4.34 per cent higher at Rs 922.90 apiece.
