Also, in district hospitals, the number of tests will be increased from 56 to 71 and in community health centres, 44 tests will be provided free of cost as against 37 earlier tests. At primary health centre level, the number of tests has increased from 15 to 36. The decision was taken in a meeting held under health minister Raghu Sharma in the city on Monday.
Besides, the health department claimed that they have received suggestions from health experts to include 11 new medicines for cancer. Recommendation for adding 43 more medicines in the list for treatment of kidney, heart and cancer has been received from health experts, the health department officials said.
