Storms leave eight dead, six hurt across Odisha: Reports

BHUBANESWAR: As many as eight people reportedly died and six were injured due to thunderstorm and lightning in different parts of the state during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
Two deaths each were reported from Koraput, Keonjhar, Jajpur and Ganjam districts.
Three persons each from Koraput and Dhenkanal districts were injured.

Two women of a family and a child were injured in P K Bhadra village in Narayanpatna block in Koraput.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had on Sunday had warned of thunderstorm and lightning in 22 districts of the state.
