Share market update: FMCG shares mixed; Tata Global jumps over 5%

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.05 per cent up at 30,294 around 10:55 am.

NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading on a mixed note in Tuesday's morning session.

Shares of Tata Global Beverages (up 5.33 per cent), United Breweries (up 1.62 per cent), ITC (up 1.15 per cent) and Jubilant Foodworks (up 0.56 per cent) were trading higher.

Hindustan Unilever (down 1.46 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (down 0.89 per cent), Dabur India (down 0.81 per cent) and ColgatePalmolive (India) (down 0.77 per cent) were trading with losses.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.05 per cent up at 30,294 around 10:55 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 43 points at 12,045.55 while the BSE Sensex was down 118.24 points at 40,149.38.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IDBI Bank, PNB, SAIL, Bank of Baroda, Tata Motors, DLF, Union Bank India and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
