Telangana mantri turns saviour for injured cyclist on road

HYDERABAD: A cyclist who met with an accident at Narasapur crossroads was given a helping hand by state women and child welfare minister Malla Reddy on Monday. Bala Swamy, who works as a mason, was on his way to work on his cycle when he was hit by a lorry and his leg came underneath its wheels.
The minister, whose convoy happened to be passing the location, saw Swamy in distress and helped transport him to a hospital in his convoy’s pilot vehicle. Swamy was helped into the vehicle by Malla Reddy and his security officials.

The pilot vehicle took the injured Samy to a hospital in Suraram, where he was administered treatment. He was accompanied by the minister to the hospital.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case against the errant lorry driver. Malla Reddy’s convoy was moving from Bowenpally to Kukatpally when he came across the injured cyclist.
