Week..
New tonight at five?
The battle over the fate of missouri only operating abortion clinic is heating up.
Today?
Protesters gathered outside the facility?
Where one week ago?
They feared they would be shut down.
That came after the state health department refused to renew planned parenthood's license?
But a judge issued a temporary restraining order allowing doctors to continue providing services.
Today, that same judge said no?staff doctors whoe performed abortions will not have to testify at a hearing that will determine whether the clinic can stay open.
(sot: karen nolkemper/ archdiocese of st.
Louis) pray that the judge will make the best decision possible, the best decision to truly protect pregnant women and their children.
Missouri is one of six states that have passed legislation banning abortions after the first eight weeks of pregnancy.
If the clinic loses its license, it will be the first time since the 1973 landmark roe versus wade decision that a ?s state would be without an abortion clinic.
