3 lakh saplings to be planted in 86 villages of GB Nagar till August

Noida: For the first time, the forest department of Gautam Budh Nagar will rope in all 86 villages in the upcoming green drive where almost 7.50 lakh trees will be planted in the district during monsoon season between July-August. Out of the total saplings to be planted, 3 lakh will be planted in 86 villages.
“We have started preparing for the plantation drive for over last three months and the saplings have been planted and raised in our nurseries. Now we will be training the nursery members and the tree-guardians to help conserve the planted trees,” district forest officer of Gautam Budh Nagar, P K Srivastava, said.
