A 40-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly arranging to meet up with an 11-year-old girl for sex.
The man, from Sydney's eastern suburbs, is accused of sending sexual messages to Child Abuse and Sex Crimes officers posing as a young girl online.
Police claim he engaged in explicit conversations about sex acts he wished to perform on the child before arranging to meet up with her.

Police claim he engaged in explicit conversations about sex acts he wished to perform on the child before arranging to meet up with her
Strike Force Trawley Detectives had intervened after allegations a young girl from regional NSW was speaking to the older man online.
The man was arrested at Central Railway Station on Monday and has been charged with using a carriage service to procure a person under 16.
He was refused bail and is due to appear at Central Local Court on Tuesday.
Investigators confiscated his mobile phone and will examine it for evidence.
The NSW Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU) launched Strike Force Trawler in an effort to tackle child sex abuse and exploitation online.
