The fifth State Formation Day celebrations were held in the erstwhile Adilabad district with great enthusiasm on Sunday. Designated chief guests and public representatives praised the State government for its vision to uplift the poorest sections of society. They also felicitated the parents of youth who had sacrificed their lives during separate Telangana movement.
In Adilabad, Zilla Parishad Chairperson V. Shobha Rani took part in the celebrations as the chief guest. Collector D. Divya and Superintendent of Police Vishnu S. Warrier participated in the ceremonies.
In Nirmal, Forest Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy, Collector M. Prasanthi and SP C. Shashidhar Raju participated in the function. They paid tributes to the martyrs at the Martyrs’ Memorial.
In Mancherial, Government Chief Advisor Rajiv Sharma was the chief guest. He was accompanied by Collector Bharati Hollikeri and MLA N. Diwakar Rao, who had lunch with the elderly inmates of an orphanage.
Government Advisor A.K. Goyal was chief guest at the celebrations in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district. Collector Rajivgandhi Hanumanthu and others gave away certificates of appreciation to meritorious officials.
Floral tributes
In Warangal Urban district, floral tributes were paid to martyrs at Martyrs’ Memorial and their contribution to the separate Telangana movement was recalled.
Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, who hoisted the national flag at Police Parade Grounds in Warangal Urban district, said people were happy with the TRS government and thus they re-elected it to power again. The party has succeeded in fulfilling the aspirations of the people. Colourful cultural programmes were presented on the occasion.
In Janagam district, ZP Chairperson G. Padma unfurled the national flag and listed out the achievements of the State government.
At Mulugu district headquarters, MLC and Government Whip in Council B. Venkateswarlu, who hoisted the national flag, said the TRS leadership promised and delivered separate statehood to Telangana. The party also came up with more welfare schemes and its resounding victory in the Assembly elections was a proof of that.
At Bhupalpally district headquarters, Government Advisor A. Ramlaxman unfurled the national flag and presented appreciation certificates to government employees for their impressive services.
At Mahabubabad headquarters, Government Advisor G.R. Reddy explained the initiatives of the State government on development and welfare front. At JNS Grounds at Hanamkonda, MLC P. Rajeswar Reddy, who was the chief guest at the Formation Day celebrations, listed out the achievements of the TRS government. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was aware of peoples’ problems and came up with various development and welfare programmes for them.
Soon, all the irrigation projects would become functional and there would be enough water to irrigate land.
All-round development
The Formation Day celebrations were held in Sanagreddy, Medak and Siddipet districts. Addressing a gathering after hoisting the national flag at Parade Grounds here on Sunday, Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali said the Telanagana State was surging ahead on all fronts and its welfare schemes like Asara, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak and double bedroom houses were benefiting lakhs of people.
Referring to paddy procurement from farmers, the Home Minister said 3.04 lakh quintals of paddy was procured from farmers and ₹53.86 crore was directly deposited in their accounts. On the progress of double bedroom houses, he said 5,555 houses were sanctioned for the district and about 4,606 houses were in different stages.
Lok Sabha member B.B Patil and others participated in the celebrations. Mr. Mahmood Ali and Collector M. Hanumantha Rao congratulated the meritorious students on the occasion.
In Siddipet, Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy participated in the celebrations and hoisted the national flag. He talked about various development activities taking place in the district.
Zilla Parishad Chairperson Rajamani Murali Yadva took part in the celebrations held at Medak district headquarters.
