A driver is lucky to be alive after his ute flipped and rolled several metres along a busy highway.
Dashcam footage from an oncoming car captured the terrifying accident on the M1, north of Ballina, along the NSW north coast, on Saturday.
As the car drives down the motorway an oncoming ute can be seen driving out of control and rolling metres away.

The out-of-control vehicle flips several times as supplies dangerously fly off the back tray.
A car driving ahead is forced to swerve into the other lane as the vehicle crosses over the median strip and into the oncoming lanes of traffic.
The damaged vehicle manages to roll into an upright position before it stops inches away from the other oncoming vehicle that is recording the crash through its dashcam.
The video was posted to Facebook where it has raked in more than 120,000 views since it was uploaded.
'My dad was driving ... when this 4 Wheel Drive rolls over the median strip and two lanes towards my dad, who would have been hit if he hadn't swerved,' the post read.
According to the post, the driver had fallen asleep behind the wheel.
Thankfully, he was uninjured and no other cars were caught up in the accident.
