Sex tape scandal rocks State of Origin: Explicit video 'featuring a star player' is leaked as part of plot to sabotage NSW Blues ahead of series opener
A sex tape allegedly featuring a NSW rugby league player has leaked just two days before the first State of Origin match.
The video went viral on social media and was also sent to news outlets just as the team took off for Brisbane ahead of Wednesday night's game.
The player, described as a 'dirty dawg' in the original post, is seen having sex with a woman while another man is in the room.

NSW Blues coach Brad Fittler denied the video, shot several years ago, depicted the player it was claimed to.
'We've been made aware of it and it's not him,' he said repeatedly as he walked through Brisbane Airport. The player also denied it to the team.
The NRL was also aware of the sex tape's existence but was yet to speak with the Blues or the player allegedly involved.
The timing of the video's release led league and NSW figures to believe it was a calculated attempt to throw the Blues off before the series.
NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg said during the last round of sex tapes that it was believed there were videos featuring dozens of players waiting to be released.

In January, a sex tape featuring Canterbury Bulldogs recruit Dylan Napa (pictured) was leaked on social media

Another sex tape (pictured) allegedly featuring Tyone Phillips and Liam Coleman from the Penrith Panthers NRL team was leaked online
Videos of Canterbury-Bankstown prop Dylan Napa appeared in January and one of Penrith Panthers stars Tyrone Phillips and Liam Coleman in March.
Panthers utility Tyrone May was in March hit with four charges for allegedly videoing and disseminating tapes of himself with women shot last year.
Mr Greenberg subsequently declared any player found to have filmed an explicit video would be suspended.
This is the first sex tape that has appeared since May was charged, ending a series that was posted as a drip feed.
