Officials from the District Vigilance Committee and sleuths from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption raided a Block Development Office here on Monday and seized ₹ 50,000 in unaccounted cash from an official here.
According to the sources, the DVAC and vigilance committee officials raided the premises of Ayodhiyapattinam block development office here.
Assistant Executive Engineer
During the raids, the officials seized ₹50,000 in multiple envelopes from the bag of Assistant Executive Engineer Thenpandi Tamil here. The officer reportedly oversees engineering works in Salem, Vazhapadi, Ayodhiyapattinam, Yercaud and Panamarathupatti blocks. A case has been registered and investigations are on .
