Bolton set to be sacked

The Blues have announced a press conference for later this afternoon, where the club is expected to announce Brendon Bolton's sacking as coach.

Lloyd and LoGiudice met this morning

Carlton's football boss Brad Lloyd and president Mark LoGiudice met for less than half an hour this morning, before they went to Ikon Park.

The Blues players and coaches had been conducting their regular meetings and reviews after the loss to Essendon.

Staff expect Bolton to be sacked

The news from Jake Niall is that staff at Carlton expect the coach to be sacked this afternoon.

Blues president Mark LoGiudice and CEO Cain Liddle have arrived at Ikon Park, after LoGiudice had an earlier meeting with Blues football boss Brad Lloyd at his city offices.

Liddle arrived around lunchtime at the club, and when asked by reporters if there was an update on the coach's situation, he said: "We will let you know as soon as we do."

Embattled coach Brendon Bolton has arrived at Carlton. He is with his manager Tom Petroro and went in through a side entrance.
