Coles customer claims she bit into supermarket's sushi product to find two sharp 'needles' of plastic inside - making her gums bleed

A woman claims she found sharp plastic pieces inside her Coles sushi which caused her gums to bleed.
The Sydney woman said she bought the 'smoked salmon sushi munch box' from the supermarket on Sunday.
She claimed the plastic pieces sliced her gums and hurt her teeth before she made a complaint on the supermarket's Facebook page.

'ADVICE NEEDED. Found sharp plastic pieces in my sushi, was hard enough to hurt my teeth and sharp enough to make my gums bleed, thank God I didn’t swallow it!,' she wrote.
'Pretty shocked, definitely not having sushi for a while again!'
The supermarket said it has contacted the customer and was investigating the matter.

'Coles takes the quality of all our products seriously,' it told Daily Mail Australia in a statement.
'We have contacted the customer and will follow up with our supplier to investigate the matter.
'As always we encourage customers to return any item they're not 100 per cent happy with to their nearest store for a full refund or replacement.'
