A single mother who was thrown into the air with her 12-year-old daughter after their scooter collided with a van in Bali has been left with a spinal injury.
Brisbane woman Danni Suriano, 32, was riding the vehicle with her 12-year-old daughter Summer at a Canggu intersection on the south coast of Bali.
CCTV footage from a nearby security camera captured the horrifying crash, 9 News reported.
The pair of tourists can be seen scooting through the intersection as a van approaches the junction from the side.

The heavy vehicle continues to drive through the intersection before slamming into the side of the scooter.
Both mother and daughter were catapulted off their vehicle and sent spinning into the air.
'As soon as the impact hit I just searched for Summer, my daughter, Summer,' Ms Suriano said.
'I've hit the fence first, because we hit a wall, and then she's gone into me and we both hit the ground.
'I grabbed her and dragged her to me.'
Three-time Australian Olympic skier Steven Lee was visiting the country when he witnessed the crash.
He immediately rushed to assist the pair before they were taken to hospital for treatment.
Ms Suriano suffered a fractured spine while her daughter managed to walk away without a scratch.
