Two weeks ago, Raghava Lawrence had opted out of Laxmmi Bomb, the Hindi adaptation of his hit Tamil horror comedy, Kanchana. On Saturday, he was back in the director’s seat of the film produced by Akshay Kumar, Shabinaa Khan and Tusshar.
“As you wished I would like to let you know that I am back on board as a director of #LaxmmiBomb with @akshaykumar,” Raghava tweeted, along with a note and a picture of himself with Akshay Kumar.
As you wished, I would like to let you know that I am back on board as the director of Laxmmi Bomb. A big thank you to Akshay Kumar sir for understanding my feelings and sorting all issues.
Another thank you to my producer Shabinaa Khan for the same. Thanks to both for giving me respect.
I am really happy to be a part of the film with Akshay sir.
Thank you all... (sic)”
On May 18, Raghava had left the film because of “multiple reasons”. One of them was also that the movie’s poster was released without any discussion with him. Back then, too, he had taken to social media to explain his stance.
One schedule of the film has already been completed in Mumbai. The next long spell has been slated later this September. All’s well that ends well best sums up the end of this controversy with Raghava back in the director’s chair.
