Oakfield House, situated in Mull’s capital Tobermory, received five stars from the national tourism organisation’s Quality Assurance (QA) Scheme in recognition of its exceptional standards. The QA Scheme is a benchmark for quality across the tourism industry and operates across accommodation, visitor attractions and food sectors.
A beautiful Scottish Victorian country house, Oakfield House has been owned by the same family for three generations. After a recent renovation to the property, owners Susan and Iain Maclean have incorporated modern décor and furniture whilst retaining Oakfield’s traditional antique features.
The Maclean family has been a Quality Assurance customer of VisitScotland for nearly 20 years, with Oakfield House being its second recognition after its four star QA Award for its self-catering property, Spey Cottage.
Owners Iain and Susan Maclean strive to provide excellent service and have decided to join VisitScotland’s iKnow Partner programme. This accreditation demonstrates the owner’s in-depth knowledge and expertise on topics around the Tobermory area, enhancing further the experience of visitors to Oakfield House.
