Rs3.8L given to families of 9 Pulwama martyrs

Ludhiana: Jain International Trade Organization (Jito) held a function on Sunday to honour the families of martyrs who had lost their lives in Pulwama attack. During the event, nine such families were given Rs3.8 lakh as financial aid by the representatives of Jito. Darshan Lal Gola, DIG CRPF, Jalandhar was the guest of honour on this occasion.
Giving more information, chairman Bhushan Jain, Chairman Jito Ludhiana chapter, said: “ International organization Jito has always been in the front to contribute to society whenever a need arises, and one such tragedy that shook the country was the deadly Pulwama attack on our soldiers. Though no amount is sufficent to pay back the services of our soldiers who sacrifice their lives for our protection, Jito has managed to collect an amount of Rs3.2 crore to be given to the families of soldiers who lost their lives in the attack. Today, a total of nine families were invited from Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal and Punjab, and a cheque of Rs3.8 lakh was given to each family.”

Speaking on the occasion, DIG Darshan Lal Gola said he had studied Jainism and teachings of Bhagwan Mahavir and felt honoured to be a part of the event. He was all praise for the efforts being put in by Jain community for social causes. According to Jito secretary Rakesh Jain: “Not everyone gets a chance to serve the people from the army who have sacrificed their lives for the nation. We have got this wonderful opportunity to do our part to honour our soldiers.”
Also present during the programme were leading businessman Jawahar Lal Oswal, Ramesh Jain, Rakesh Jain, Tarun Jain, Amit Jain, Abhilash Oswal, Manju Oswal, Sonia Jain, Ekta Jain, Bhanu Jain, Karuna Oswal, Manish Jain, Sahil Jain, Bhavya Jain, Ramyak Jain, Rachit Jain, Nikhil Jain and other executive members of the body.
