'It's like confusing the South Pole with Africa': Yellow Pages directories with a VERY glaring error are delivered to tens of thousands of homes

- Visit Sunshine Coast CEO Simon Latchford said regions are 'are wildly different'
The Sunshine Coast editions of the Yellow Pages directories have been delivered to tens of thousands of homes - despite picturing the region's major competitor.
The cover of the freshly printed directory shows a smiling sky diver upon landing on the golden sands of Kirra Beach, on the Gold Coast.
The city skyline stands prominently behind him, but the misleading cover forgets that the Sunshine Coast does not boast skyscrapers, instead imposing strict limitations on the height of buildings.
The Sunshine Coast prides itself as the more natural region in regards to tourism, where visitors can enjoy the beach without the extravagance seen on the Gold Coast.

In regards to the failed cover, Visit Sunshine Coast CEO Simon Latchford said 'everyone makes mistakes' but the regions are 'are wildly different'.
'It's like confusing the South Pole with Africa,' he told The Courier-Mail.
'The Gold Coast is like Australia's Las Vegas, and we are the place to visit for a more natural experience.'
Sensis, the marketing behind the combined White and Yellow Pages, confirmed the image showcased Gold Coast Skydive at Kirra Beach.
Sensis spokesman Will Clarke said: 'In previous years we've taken a localised approach with our Yellow Pages covers, however this year we decided to feature some of our customers on the front covers as an extension of our advertising campaigns'.
Mr Clarke said the cover represented the breadth and diversity of the businesses offered in their directories.
He added the picture did not intend to cause any rivalry between the regions but understood locals could be upset.
