Apple’s WWDC 2019 keynote takes place later tonight at 10.30 pm India timings, which is 10 am Pacific Time. Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference or WWDC takes place in San Jose, California once again, and we expect major announcements around the company’s upcoming software products with iOS 13 and macOS 10.15 grabbing the spotlight.
Rumours indicate some big changes are coming to iOS 13 with a much awaited Dark Mode, redesigned apps. Further more iOS apps could work on macOS as well and we expect more details around Project Marzipan, where Apple could allow more cross-platform functionality. No major hardware news is expected, though Apple just introduced the 7th gen iPod Touch last week. However, the expectation is that a new Mac Pro could be on the cards.

What is Project Marzipan?
This will be one of the changes that Apple introduces in 2019. Last year, Apple had announced it was working on tools to help developers bring their iOS apps to macOS. Cross platform apps that work on both your iPhone and MacBook Air could soon be a reality. According to leaks, Project Marzipan in an internal project, where Apple is working to make this possible and let developers create just one app that works on both platforms. The advantage would be that the App Store on Mac would improve with several of the popular apps from iPhone likely making an appearance to the laptops as well. Apple has rolled out its Apple News, Stocks, Voice Memo for macOS already and this year there could be more news for developers. Read more about why Apple is doing this here.
Apple WWDC 2019: iOS 13 and what will be the key features
Given the popularity of iPhones, it is natual that all focus tends to be on iOS at WWDC. During the keynote, we expect a detailed look into the features of iOS 13, which is expected to sport some major changes. For one, the Dark Mode is finally coming to Apple's devices and it has long been awaited. Screenshots of the Dark Mode were shared by 9to5Mac. A new Sleep Mode is also coming. Apple will also merge Find My Phone and Find My Friends app into one app called 'Find My...' according to the screenshots. Apple WWDC 2019 live stream starts at 10.30 pm IST and is taking place McEnery Conventional Center in San Jose California. The keynote takes place today, with the conference going on till June 7.
Users can watch the live coverage of WWDC 2019 through the dedicated Apple’s events site or the WWDC app on the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. One watch the event on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch using Safari, though you need to be on iOS 10.
Chrome and Firefox desktop browsers will also support the livestream as as long as they support MSE (Media Source Extensions), H.264 video, and AAC audio.
