Ford v Ferrari Movie Trailer: Christian Bale, Matt Damon Take Us Back To 60’s Le Mans

One of the greatest automotive stories ever is hitting the theaters, starring Matt Damon as Caroll Shelby, Christian Bale as Ken Miles and Jon Bernthal as Lee Iacocca.

Ford v. Ferrari has just dropped its first official trailer, setting the tone of the movie that depicts the fight between Ford and Ferrari to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.

When negotiations on Ford purchasing Ferrari collapsed, Henry Ford II -portrayed by Tracy Letts on the film- was furious. He directed his executives to find a company that could build a Ferrari-beating race car and take the fight directly to Enzo Ferrari -played by Remo Girone.

Looking at the trailer, we can’t help but feel excited for this one; the production value looks very high and the leading actors look as dedicated as ever.

The movie focuses on Ken Miles, a British-born racing driver, and Caroll Shelby, the man responsible for turning the GT40 into the Le Mans legend we all know today.

20th Century Fox has been trying to bring a movie based on the rivalry between Ford and Ferrari in the 1960s since 2013 but the project took off when director James Mangold came on board, along with screenwriters Jez and John-Henry Butterworth.

“Ford v Ferrari” will hit the theaters on November 15.
