AHMEDABAD: A 65-year-old woman from Chanakyapuri area of the city on Saturday filed a complaint of cheating against her daughter as the latter had taken Rs 3.50 lakh and did not deposit it in her mother’s bank account. When the woman asked for the money, the accused told her that if she wanted to be looked after then she should not ask for the money.

The complainant, Rajkumari Multani, a resident of Sahajanand Society near Damru Circle in Chanakyapuri, stated in her FIR with Sola High Court Police that she has been staying with her daughter, Monica, in the same house. Around a year ago, Rajkumari sold her another house in Vadaj area due to which she had some money with her. As she did not know much about banking, the complainant used to take her daughter along with her to bank.
She gave all the bank details and debit card to her. In February, she came to know that she had withdrawn Rs 3.50 lakh from her account. When Rajkumari asked about it, Monica told that as she stays with her and looks after, she took the money and threatened to leave her if she ever asked about the money, said the FIR.
