A creepy uncle has admitted to raping his niece in a sickening string of sex attacks that started when the girl was just eight years old.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, repeatedly sexually assaulted the girl in Mackay, Queensland over a four-year period until she was 12.
Now 46, the uncle pleaded guilty in Mackay District Court to one count each of maintaining a sexual relationship with a child, rape and digital rape, The Daily Mercury reported.
The court heard how the man realised he was sexually attracted to the girl after she walked in on him naked.
'He said to police it made him feel a little bit excited and sick at the same time,' Crown Prosecutor Gavin Webber said.

The court heard the girl would often wake to find her uncle behind her, touching her and removing her clothes, and on two occasions he raped her briefly.
She would also be too afraid to move when the offending occurred, Mr Webber said.
After the girl accidentally walked in on her naked uncle he would deliberately try to be naked in front of her.
He would then cuddle and touch her in bed before he eventually raped her.

The girl's grandmother was doing household chores at the time of the offending, while the youngster's brothers were playing outside.
The man was eventually charged after he went to police and confessed after the girl told a school guidance counsellor mid-last year.
The girl told police the abuse happened 'pretty often' and usually after her uncle had been drinking.

The man's defence barrister, Scott McLennan, told the court his client was a shy man whose sexual experiences included drunken visits to sex workers.
'My client told police that he was sickened by what he was doing,' Mr McLennan said.
'He told the police... it's 100 per cent my fault, I absolutely adore (her), I don't know why I did what I did.'
When sentencing the man, Judge Julie Dick said she took his voluntary admission into consideration, which also meant the child didn't have provide evidence.
The man was jailed for six years and will be eligible for parole in November next year after serving 18 months.
