Driver sees spark & exits as BMW goes up in flames

Noida: A BMW car caught fire on Pusta road in Sector 128 on Sunday afternoon, and was damaged completely. Sumit, who was driving the car, had a narrow escape as he managed to apply the brakes and exit the vehicle just in time. A fire tender was rushed to the spot to control the blaze.
Fire safety officer Mamchand Badgurjar said that Sumit had noticed a spark in the car’s engine and immediately exited the car. He then informed the fire department. Badgurjar said the exact cause of the fire was not known yet.
Meanwhile, on the fourth floor of Kendriya Vihar society in Sector 82, a fire broke out in a flat on Sunday. At least three fire tenders arrived at the spot and doused the blaze after half an hour.

In another incident, fire broke out on the ground floor of a plastic factory in Phase 2 on Sunday morning. Badgurjar said that the fire was possibly caused due to a short circuit and the factory suffered losses worth lakhs of rupees.
Another fire was reported from the fourth floor of a building in Hoshiapur village of Sector 51 on Saturday night. The department received information about the fire around 10 pm and 11 fire tenders were sent to the spot.
