Anisimova, 17, into first Slam quarter-final

Paris - Amanda Anisimova, just 17, reached her first Grand Slam quarter-final at the French Open on Monday with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Spanish qualifier Aliona Bolsova.

Anisimova will be one of three American women in the quarter-finals where she will face defending champion Simona Halep.

The teenager fired 33 winners past her world 137-ranked opponent who was making her Roland Garros debut and is still completing her university studies in Barcelona.
