“Nokia 6.2 is expected to come with triple rear cameras, Snapdragon 660 SoC, and boot Android 9.0 Pie out of the box”
HMD Global has scheduled a global unveiling event on the June 6th in Milan, Italy. The brand has been posting promotional videos on Twitter ever since the announcement, but it didn’t reveal anything on what’s coming, leaving things to the imagination. Now, noted Nokia phones tipster ‘Nokia anew’ claims the company would be introducing the Nokia 6.2 at the event. Separately, the company is also holding an event in India on the same day, so it’s possible the brand might launch the phone in India as well alongside the budget Nokia 1 Plus.
Furthermore, anew suggests the Nokia 6.2 would be available in new colour options and could be priced at $290 (around Rs 20,200). The handset is also reported to pack a dedicated night mode, which Nokia teased recently, along with zoom lens. There are speculations that Nokia 6.2 would be the global variant of the Nokia X71, which was launched in Taiwan back in April. Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have so far, but with the launch right around the corner, we don’t have to wait long to know more details.
To recall, the Nokia X71 ships with a 6.39-inch PureDisplay with a full-HD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 93 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB built-in storage, that is user expandable up to 256GB. The handset boots Android 9.0 Pie with Stock UI on top. In terms of camera, the Nokia X71 rocks triple rear cameras consisting of a Zeiss certified 48-megapixel (f/1.8) primary sensor, paired with an 8-megapixel 120-degree super-wide angle lens, and a 5-megapixel sensor for depth effect on the rear. The front camera gets a 16-megapixel f/2.0 lens for selfies and video calling.
