HYDERABAD: Stating that some kind of
parity among
salaries paid to different classes of workers doing the same duty, the
Telangana high court dismissed a writ appeal filed by the state challenging a single judge’s order to provide minimum time-scale pay to
daily wage workers of social welfare hostels.
The division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan and Justice A Rajasheker Reddy. Earlier, a single judge had directed the government to provide minimum time-scale pay to daily wage workers such as watchmen and cooks in hostels. The writ petition was filed by a group of workers from hostels who are seeking the benefit of minimum pay attached to posts of
class-IV employees.
