The signing of a new Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant in Hong Kong was announced recently announced by InterContinental Hotels Group and Empire Group.
The IHG expands the boutique luxury’s brand’s presence in Greater China. This happened just after the brand’s first opening in Asia in March, Kimpton Da An in Taipei.
There will be five hotels in the development pipeline under the brand with the signing of Kimpton in Hong Kong.
All the hotels will be located in tier one cities and in popular travel destinations like Shanghai, Sanya, Nanjing and Beijing
Jolyon Bulley, chief executive, IHG Greater China, said that Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is known for inspiring design-led hotels and ridiculously personal and heartfelt service.
Now the guests are looking for thoughtful service and personalised hotel experience and it was the right time for Kimpton to expand its footprint in Greater China.
There is diverse culture, design and entertainment options in the global city of Hong Kong which makes it an ideal location for the launch of another iconic Kimpton hotel.
The true spirit of the Kimpton brand will bring unique luxury experience to guests through the newly signed hotel that combines Hong Kong’s modern style with retro elegance.
In 2017 the first Kimpton hotels in Greater China was signed and the brand further established in tier one cities and other destinations.
Kimpton will be playing an important role as IHG keeps on expanding its boutique luxury hotel offering in the region which will help in embedding a distinctive brand culture in the local market.
