NOIDA: Traffic pressure at two of the busiest intersections in Noida — Parthala Chowk and Sector 71 intersection — will soon be relieved as Noida Authority is set to connect the Bisrakh road with the 7x sectors by the end of June, officials said.
The 10km-long Bisrakh road in Greater Noida has been extended towards Noida sectors to connect the twin cities. The construction of nearly one kilometre of road across the Hindon river is nearly complete with just the connection with FNG expressway pending.
“The bridge across Hindon has been ready for a while now and we were waiting for the link with the FNG expressway to be ready. It is almost complete and we will be able to give access in June itself,” said K K Aggarwal, the general manager at the Noida Authority.
The new road will connect parts of Noida Extension and sectors 115and 120 in Greater Noida to sectors 74, 75, 76, 77 and other adjoining areas. “The new connection will help ease traffic at Parthala Chowk, Gaur Chowk and Sector 71 intersections. Most vehicles coming from Noida Extension and Greater Noida areas and heading towards Delhi or 7x Sectors had to necessarily use Parthala Chowk so far as there was no alternate route. These commuters can now use this road and avoid traffic,” Aggarwal added.
Those coming from the Gaur Chowk can take a left from Parthala Chowk along the FNG expressway and can use the new road to go further ahead towards Sector 116 main road and Dadri road to reach Delhi.

Both Parthala Chowk and Sector 71 intersection, along Vikas Marg, have been congested due to rise in traffic in Noida and Greater Noida. Traffic cops have tried several combinations of road closures and U-turns at both the intersections in the past one year, only to get temporary relief from traffic. The new stretch is expected to divert some vehicles from these intersections.
Meanwhile, an underpass is planned for the Sector 71 intersection and the Noida Authority is in the process of finalising either an elevated road or an underpass across Parthala Chowk. The tender for the construction of the same is expected to be floated by July.
