Some soulful music for Banarasis

To promote young talent in classical music, an event titled Parampara was recently organised at an art gallery. The first presentation was by tabla exponent Siddharth Mishra, who gave a solo performance. In teen taal, he presented uthan, kayada and rela and giving a perfect accompaniment was Anish Mishra on the sarangi.

The second performance was by Sharda Prasan Das on violin. He began with an alaap in Raag Rageshwari. The guests also showed interest in the paintings put on display.
