JE Design Spices Up Seat Tarraco With Modest Visual Changes

The new Tarraco is Seat’s largest SUV and has already grabbed the attention of a few tuners.

JE Design is one of them, and compared to other tuning jobs, the look is very restraint, to the point that anyone unfamiliar with the Tarraco won’t be able to tell the difference between the modded and stock car.

Those who can will have already noticed the lowered ride height courtesy of a €279 ($312) spring kit that’s also compatible with models equipped with the (optional) electronic damper control.

Apart from the lower ride height, there’s a spacer kit, which increases the front and rear tracks by 20 and 34 mm (0.8-1.3 in), respectively. They come with the longer wheel bolts and locks, for €238 ($266), and work with the factory wheels, which are available from 17 to 20 inches depending on model and specification.

If the stock items won’t do, JE Design offers their own 8.5×20-inch twin, five-spoke rims in gloss black with a polished edge, for €1,244 ($1,391) per set. For €2,380 ($2,661), the wheels can be shod in 235/45 factory tires by the tuner.

Loading big and heavy stuff into the boot has been made easier with the addition of a bumper protection strip that keeps the part safe from scratches, is available in matte silver or gloss black and costs €99 ($111).

The list of upgrades ends here, but JE Design says that the next step will be to fine-tune the 2.0-liter petrol and diesel engines, increasing output from 190 PS (187 hp / 140 kW) to 228 PS (225 hp / 168 kW).
