BHOPAL: The state remained in the grip of severe heat waves with many parts of the state sizzling at 47 degree celsius, on Friday. In Bhopal the mercury rose by .3 degree taking the maximum temperature to 44.4 degree celsius, making it the hottest day of the season. The state capital had recorded the maximum temperature of 44.1 degree, on Thursday. On the other hand, the night too remained scorching hot at 31 degree Celsius.
In Rewa and Jabalpur the highest temperature was recorded at 47 degrees while in Khajuraho, Satna, Damoh, Sidhi and Naugaon it remianed at 46 degrees celsius. The other districts including Gwalior, Sagar, Umaria, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Khargone, Sheopurkalan and Rajgarh the maximum temperature remained at 45 degrees celsius. The maximum temperature in Indore was 42.6 degree while in Gwalior it was 45.2 degrees Celsius.
