Bittu Kumar was shot dead at Rahimpur under
Parsa Bazaar police station area in Patna district on late Friday allegedly by a person whom he had attempted to kill around two years back.

Jai Prakash said that Bittu had at least half a dozen of cases lodged against him with different police stations in Patna which includes attempt to murder and cash loot petrol pump.
Prakash said that Bittu had went out of his residence telling his family members that he would return after sometime but as soon as he walked few hundred feet away from his residence, a person shot him dead.
“He was shot twice in head from a very close range resulting in immediate death at spot. A person was spotted fleeing from spot who was later identified as one Jitendra Kumar,” he said.
SHO Prakash said that during course of initial investigation, it surfaced that Bittu along with his three associates had shot Jitendra multiple times in Jakkanpur locality in October 2017.
“However Jitendra had managed to survive and perhaps he killed Bittu to take revenge,” he said adding two empty cartridges were recovered from spot by police.

Rameshwar Prasad gave statement before police accusing Jitendra for killing his son.
“An FIR was lodged against Jitendra on basis of Prasad’s statement,” Prasad said.
Meanwhile a police official posted at Jakkanpur police station when contacted, said that Jitendra used to work as an illegal agent collecting money from three-wheelers which picks up or drops railway passengers near Karbighaiya.
“Police inquired about Jitendra at Karbighaiya after which it surfaced that he had left early in evening on Friday night and was traceless,” police said adding none including Bittu had ever got arrested in connecting with the case of shooting Jitendra.
