Ludhiana: Rajinder Kaur joined as the district education officer (Elementary), Ludhiana, on Friday. She was transferred from the post of DEO Elementary Mansa on Friday.
Rajinder Kaur said, “I am feeling very happy as I am back at my own place. I hail from Jagraon. I will try to take up all the responsibilities like application of ‘Padho Punjab, Padhao Punjab’ in all schools diligently and converting all the primary schools into English medium.”
Having done MA, B.Ed and MPhil in Punjabi, she has an experience of 21 years of teaching and has served as a teacher at GSSS Jawahar Nagar, Ludhiana.
No Tobacco Day was also observed in the DEO office where everyone pledged to say no to tobacco. Kuldeep Singh and Anil Kumar— deputy district education officers— were also present at the occasion.
