The embattled former State of Origin star wasn't able to secure himself an NRL contract this season.

The move to the men's amateur soccer team will mark Hayne's fourth football code swap in less than six years, after leaving the Eels for an NFL stint with the San Francisco 49ers.

He then went on to join the sevens team in his native Fiji, before returning to Rugby League.

It's understood Hayne could play on Sunday when his new team takes on Ourimbah at Hylton Moore Oval.

In May Hayne faced court for a charge of causing actual bodily harm, the second charge relating to the alleged rape of a woman in the Hunter Valley in September 2018.

He's accused of raping a 26-year-old woman and biting her genitals at her home on the night of the NRL grand final.

He allegedly ripped the woman's clothes off and bit her genitals so hard he drew blood, requiring her to go to hospital the next day.

Court documents state Hayne had sex with the woman without her consent and 'recklessly inflicted actual bodily harm' to the woman during the alleged rape.

He had his bail conditions changed, and now lives in Umina Beach on the Central Coast, and reports to Woy Woy police station every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The matter will be heard in court again on June 26, and the charges he faces each carry a maximum 20-year jail term.

Hayne is also facing legal proceedings in the US after being accused of raping a virgin during a night out in San Jose, California in 2015 - an allegation Hayne denies.
