Peugeot didn’t miss out on the chance to display their retro-styled e-Legend Concept at the 2019 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este – and, truth be told, it’d be a pity if they did.
Hosted last weekend on the shores of Lake Como, in Italy, it was to go-to event for every petrol head who wanted to see some of the hottest new rides, as well as some exciting old timers, in the flesh.

The French automaker is celebrating its first anniversary this fall and its concept was one of the main attractions of the show. The e-Legend was parked on the lawn for a couple of days and was then driven away and loaded into the truck at the end of the show. With so many cameras pointed at it, it’s no wonder that the short drive was immortalized, so you’ll have to scroll down in a few moments to see it move on its own under natural light.
If it gets enough support from the public, then Peugeot might consider making a production version of the e-Legend. And that’s no mere speculation, as it comes straight from the company’s chief, Jean-Philippe Imparato, who wants 500,000 people to sign the online petition before he and the rest of the management come to a decision. In more than half a year, they have gathered nearly 60,000 votes.
With a design inspired by the classic 504, the e-Legend is a three-box design with an electric powertrain that produces 456 hp (463 PS / 340 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. According to the firm, its 100 kWh battery allows it to travel up to 373 miles (600 km) on a single charge. Performance is pretty good, as the 0-62 mph (0-100 km) sprint is dispatched in less than 4 seconds and top speed is 137 mph (220 km/h).
