LUDHIANA: Unidentified thieves struck at the office of Dakha MLA and senior Supreme Court lawyer
H S Phoolka and decamped with four LCD, other electronic items at
Mullanpur Dakha village on Thursday night. Dakha police has registered a case into the matter on Friday.
In his police complaint,
Arashdeep Singh of
Sandhua Kalan in Bhaduar of Barnala told cops that he works as driver with the ambulance being run by MLA Dakha. He added that on Friday morning around 8 am when he opened the office of H S Phoolka in Mullanpur Dakha village he found that the back door of the office was broken.
The complainant said that on checking the articles at the office, he found that four LCDs, one CPU, a DVOR of CCTVs, a
glass cylinder were stolen.
Arashdeep Singh told cops that after finding the articles stolen by thieves, he informed police about the matter. On being informed, cops from Dakha police station reached the spot and started probe into the matter.
Police later booked unidentified persons under sections 457 (Lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment), 380 (Theft in dwelling house, etc) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
