Haryana: Married 5 years ago, woman commits suicide 21 days after her husband died

YAMUNANAGAR: A married woman hung herself and committed suicide in Ganola village of Yamunanagar district in Haryana on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Sonia, 26, who got married to Surender Singh nearly 5 years ago and they had a 5-year-old boy were living happily.
But around 21 days ago her husband died of a heart disease, told the Yamunanagar police. Following the incident of her husband’s death, Sonia went into a shock and was not able to properly concentrate on her work which led her to end her life, said the police.
“My brother-in-law Surender Singh has recently died. Following the husband’s demise, my sister regularly complained that she cannot live without her husband and she is feeling incomplete in her life,” said Sonia's brother Ravinder.
SHO Chhachhrauli Kanwaljeet Singh said, "at around 11pm, after having dinner, Sonia went to her room with her son. A few minutes later, Sonia’s in-laws heard cries of her child, and went to the room to check on them, and found her hanging to the ceiling."
The police have conducted proceedings under section 174 of the CrPc.
