Panchkula man pelts stone at PCR vehicle, damages windshield

PANCHKULA: On Friday, Panchkula police control room vehicle came under attack by a miscreant, who allegedly pelted stones at the patrolling party in the wee hours. The youth has been identified but gave the police officials a slip. He has been booked at Sector 5 police station and is yet to be arrested.
According to the police, PCR-4, lead by exempted assistant sub- inspector (EASI) Jaibhagwan, was patrolling Sector 7 in Panchkula. When it reached Kheda wali gali, when a young man came from nowhere and started pelting stones at the police party. The windshield of the vehicle was damaged.
Taken aback by the sudden attack, the PCR-2 officials tried to chase the youth. They also called for help. Two more PCRs, PCR-2 and PCR-6 reached the spot. PCR-2 incharge head constable Rambir Singh also chased the youth and got hold of him, but he managed to escape from his grip.
The police party traced the youth and identified him as Sonu alias Ladi resident of Kharag Mangoli in Panchkula.

Jaibhagwan and Rambir in their complaint also alleged that while running away the youth allegedly challenged the police party to leave or he will hit them with stones.
The police have booked the youth for causing damage to the government property and pelting stones at the police officials at Sector 5 police station.
