Two booked for beating up PGVCL staffer in Dwarka

Rajkot: An employee of Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) was beaten up by two persons in Bajana village of Jamkhambhalia taluka in Devbhoomi Dwarka district on Friday.
Police said the accused, identified as Gogan Chudasama and Hamir Chudasama, assaulted PGVCL staffer Bharat Goswami (53) with sugarcane sticks.

“Goswami had gone to Bajana village to repair an electricity feeder, for which he had to cut the power supply for some time. Angered by the power-cut, Gogan and Hamir attacked Goswami,” said an official from Khambhalia police station.
Both Gogan and Hamir fled from the spot after the beating up Goswami. They have been booked for attacking a government official and preventing him from performing his duty.
